Virginia MaoVirginia Mao was born and raised in Guatemala, within a Chinese family, thus is fluent in Spanish and Chinese (Cantonese). After receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration, magna cum laude, she came to California to attend graduate school. Upon obtaining a master’s in business administration, specializing in Finance, she joined the May Company (subsequently acquired by Macy’s) as an accountant and then financial analyst. She then joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco where she served in various roles for 7 years, becoming Manager of Financial Planning & Control and End User Computing. She then worked at La Agencia de Orci & Associates as Director of Finance for 5 years. Ms. Mao joined QTC Management, Inc. (QTC) in 1998, where she worked in various senior leadership positions during her 24-year tenure, reaching the level of Vice President. Ms. Mao’s areas of responsibilities included finance, accounting, internal audit, real estate, facilities management, procurement, risk management, security and legal. Ms Mao retired in March 2023, after 24 years with QTC. She has recently joined Pacific Asian Counseling Services (PACS) as a member of the Board of Directors.
Ms. Mao’s over 35 years of experience and leadership in multiple areas have allowed her to effectively help grow QTC to become a billion company, through many initiatives, projects, systems implementations, mergers & acquisitions and investment of both financial and human resources. |
