Mei-Chan Duan retired from IBM in 2009 after 31 years of service with the company. She worked 16 years in US and 15 years in Asia – lived in Hong Kong 9 years, Shanghai 2 years and Tokyo 4 years. She held various Executive and Management positions in Finance, Procurement and Human Resources. She previously managed the Global Procurement Organization – Asia Pacific, with over 500 employees in 16 countries. She initiated and launched a Global Leadership Development Program for IBM Integrated Supply Chain organization. She was an IBM certified Leadership Training instructor and has mentored employees in US, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Ms. Duan, on behalf of IBM, received the Supplier Diversity Program Award in White House (2006) and was a guest speaker at ISM’s Inaugural Women Executive Supply Management Summit (2009). In 2011, she received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from the White House. Ms. Duan has a MA degree in Mass Communication from Purdue University, Indiana.
