Mentorship Program: Workshop #1

Learn key leadership and management skills to excel and advance your career! AAPA Mentors will share their knowledge and experiences on various leadership and management topics in small group settings. Workshops are held three times per year as part of the AAPA Mentorship Program.

9:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Workshop Session A

10:30 AM – 10:45 AM: Break

10:45 AM – 12:15 PM: Workshop Session B

12:15 PM – 1:00 PM: Networking & lunch

Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

ABOUT AAPA TRACKS

TRACK 1: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Recommended for professionals with 0-5 years of experience.
This track is designed for individuals who want to develop their professional development skills, and/or advance into positions of greater authority. Emphasis is placed on communications, self-branding, assertiveness, and career development skills.

TRACK 2: MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT

Recommended for professionals with 5-10 years of experience.
This track is designed for professionals who want to become an effective manager and leader. Emphasis is placed on handling employee relations, manging up and down, creating effective presentations, negotiations, and leading the decision making process.

TRACK 3: LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY

Recommended for professionals with 8+ years of experience or those who have completed tracks 1 and 2. This track is designed for managers who seek to advance into senior management/director positions. Emphasis is placed on using leadership to empower employees, influence people and think in a broad spectrum
